I should mention, I tried a bunch of other methods on various clothing before ordering the Deo-Go: vinegar, Shout, OxyClean, chlorine bleach, oxygen bleach, baking soda, salt, dish detergent, denture tablets, lemon juice, you-name-it. Some processes made the stains worse, some helped a little bit. Deo-Go was the only thing that really worked. After seeing the aforementioned ‘goo’ I have to conclude that there is a specific chemical reaction taking place that breaks down the antiperspirant residue that just doesn’t happen with the other cleaning products. It also got rid of the trapped odors in the sweater and t-shirt. Total success!

So long dingy t-shirts!

I took home my 9-ounce bottle of Deo-Go and sprayed it on every white tank top I own, making sure that both sides of the armholes were soaked. After waiting about 20 minutes, I scrubbed the wet areas with an old toothbrush (the directions call for a short-bristle brush) and watched the two active ingredients (non-ionic surfactants and hydrochloric acid) literally dissolve the deodorant build up. I was so impressed, I decided to put Deo-Go to the test with my husband’s gross white t-shirts and some rather stained navy blue shirts he wears to the gym as well. Then, I washed everything as normal. Wow, did it work! The colored shirts took a second treatment but the entire deodorant residue came out.

Just so you know, I’m not alone; Deo-Go gets mostly positive reviews from about 15 users at Drugstore.com (not bad for a product that hit the market only a few months ago) and earned a seal of approval from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.

I was skeptical to purchase this as I thought it was a scam or an “as seen on TV” type product. However I was completely wrong. I wish I would have known about this years ago.

My package arrived today. I ended up cleaning a total of 14 shirts with the bottle I ordered today and just ordered 2 more!

I sprayed the area on both sides and gently scrubbed it with an old toothbrush. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and then repeated the process. Afterwards I threw the garment in the wash and dryer as directed by the care label. I was amazed at how well each item looked and the pleasant scent.

It worked on all types of fabric (polyester, cotton, cotton blends, etc) as well as stains (both recent and several years old).

I recommend this for anyone who wants to save their favorite shirt or wants to save some money by prolonging the wear of the clothes you already have.
